Hello everybody. Welcome to this week's episode of the Main Street Talk podcast, your go-to podcast for all things Walt Disney World related, all the news, and the tips and the tricks. I am your host Nick, and as always with me is Joni. Hi.
Joni:Hi.
Nick:So Joni and I are getting ready to go on a cruise. This show's gonna be a little bit different. We are recording on Wednesday the 22nd. We're recording early. We usually wait till the weekends to record so we can get all the latest news Friday,
Joni:the, at the earliest we usually do. So we're a couple days. Yeah.
Nick:So all the news is gonna be current until, um, October 22nd. So we may miss some news by the time this airs, but, we'll try to catch up when we get back, but we're excited to go on our cruise. We got some last minute stuff to do, but,
Joni:oh, I don't.
Nick:well, I,
Joni:I, we've
Nick:picked a very interesting time to go on a cruise as people probably follow the, tropical storm Melissa has formed in the Caribbean, and it's supposed to be a hurricane. By Thursday or Friday, but it looks the way the last I looked, it looks like we're gonna be on the boat to and from and back to Florida by the time it may get out of the Caribbean. So I think we're gonna be okay.
Joni:last. Expectation or, or possibility was that we would miss our castaway
Nick:I was thinking, and that still may be a possibility. I don't think we're gonna know until the days of,'cause that's okay. Because, you know, and you know this,
Joni:you're lucky. I'm even still going,
Nick:you know, this, that I'm like fascinated with hurricanes and I always watch the hurricanes come
Joni:Yeah. But I don't wanna be in
Nick:one. Well, the, what I'm gonna say is I've been following this one and, um, even the meteorologists, a lot of them are saying they've never seen anything like
Joni:this. Oh, perfect.
Nick:No, to the extent of they can't track it.
Joni:it. Well that's great.
Nick:it's just sitting around and spinning. Oh, it's, it's basically stopped at this point. It's moving two miles an hour, so the models can't get it. Right. And two of them that I've watched older have said they've never, they've never seen this. Wow. As far as
Joni:great.
Nick:But, I think they have a, a decent idea where it's going, but enough of that. Yeah.
Joni:Yeah. And I have no idea With this being my only, only my second cruise, I don't know if I'm going to have any type of sickness or not. In our first cruise that we went on, I was able to pick our deck, pick our room, but this one we got, we got into the, um,
Nick:guaranteed state
Joni:guaranteed state. The guaranteed state with the balcony brand. Yeah. And so they placed us on the ninth floor.
Nick:Yep. Deck nine.
Joni:I am terrified, to be quite honest. We do have our motion sickness medication. I don't know if I'm gonna need it, but we do have it. I don't have any experience on taking it. I don't know if I'm even going to agree with that. Like if it's gonna be easy on me or hard on me. I don't know. I'm a little nervous about this trip, guys,
Nick:I think, I think we're gonna be fine. I think we're gonna be fly to Florida, go on our cruise and be out of Florida by the time it's, outta the Caribbean. That's just my thinking'cause it's moving
Joni:well, hopefully it just turns and goes back out into the water and, no,
Nick:yeah, that's what I'm hoping because yeah, there's some islands that could get, uh, I mean feet of rain. That could be very, very bad.
Joni:Oh.
Nick:uh oh, and you know what else? Happy Halloween.
Joni:Oh
Nick:This, this will air, this will air on Monday before Halloween, and we won't air until the following
Joni:That's right. Well, happy Halloween. We should have wore our
Nick:We should have, yeah.
Joni:Took pictures of each other'cause everyone wants to see that.
Nick:And, as far as the show, following this one next week's show, we are not, we're not gonna have internet on the boat.,'Cause I just refuse to pay for a cruise internet. I think it's ridiculous. I'm gonna keep up on the news as best I can, so that show may be a little news light too, but I'm gonna get right to work as soon as we get home. And we
Joni:I think we should, we should try to pick up. Where we left off and not make too many changes. Yeah, I'll get
Nick:I know. I'm just,
Joni:I'll get on him, guys. Yeah.
Nick:So. Anyway, are you ready to get into the
Joni:am. Let's go. Okay.
Nick:Magic Kingdom regular tickets have sold out for New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom. No tickets available for New Year's Eve. Magic Kingdom, and as well all Park Hopper tickets are now completely unavailable for the date of December 31st also.
Joni:Hmm.
Nick:And that's including the Park Opera and Park Hop Plus. So New Year's Eve.
Joni:Never been there on a New Year's Eve.
Nick:I No,
Joni:heard, like are there any special things that go on,
Nick:I
Joni:like the Halloween and the Christmas or
Nick:think they do two fireworks that night. They do a midnight and then they, I think they do like a 10 o'clock for the kids that can't stay till midnight. I think that's what they do.
Joni:So watch one and use the other one to ride
Nick:Yeah. Yeah. I, myself would probably never go during that time just because that's the busiest week of the year and that's. I don't know. I don't
Joni:I mean, I love people, but not like in my personal bubble.
Nick:That, that seems a little overwhelming, so yeah. Sold out for New Year's Eve in case you were wanting to go. And four more dates have sold out for the, very merry Christmas party. Okay, so the total is no four dates is November 25th, December 2nd, December 4th, and December 21st. December 21st is the last, party and also with the Christmas party. You know, mini's wonderful. Christmas time fireworks. They show at the party. It's gonna be presented for all Magic Kingdom guests on certain dates. Here's the schedule. December 20th is gonna be the final showing of Happily Ever after December 21st is the last Christmas party, and it'll be the, the many fireworks. But from December 22nd onward. Mini's fireworks are gonna replace happily ever after for all park guests.
Joni:how long?
Nick:They have not, they have not
Joni:not announced.
Nick:when that's coming
Joni:maybe till New Year.
Nick:Could be. That would make sense. Yeah, they haven't announced. We'll keep you posted on that. And over at Epcot Spaceship Earth reopened a week early after refurbishment. Okay. It reopened on October 18th despite an announcement date of October 25th. And as we mentioned last week, the Figma animatronic, they took down for refurbishment. He's back, they put him back. Figures, he, I dunno, he's got a new paint job or facelift. What he did,
Joni:He just needed a nap. All that mischievousness that he's up to, he needs a nap. Yeah,
Nick:And at Hollywood Studios tickets for Saturday November 8th, the very first night of Hollywood Knights. That has sold out. So opening night is sold out. I know we've said it before. If you've never been to it, go to it. Such, such a
Joni:fun parties.
Nick:good time.
Joni:Yeah.
Nick:And also in Hollywood Studios, the live action aerial meet and greet is temporarily moving. Disney website said, oh, we met her. It's in, Walt Disney presents in the
Joni:And we actually ran into her. By mistake. We did. We were just kind of wandering
Nick:kind of wandering. We were just in the building
Joni:looking at all the, we didn't know, and
Nick:we walked into the room and we're like,
Joni:like, oh, there's a princess in there. And they're like, well, come on in.
Nick:So the website says, me, Ariel at Walt Disney presents will temporarily be unavailable. Beginning October 28th, Ariel will be greeting guests at Echo Lake near the fifties, primetime cafe.
Joni:Okay,
Nick:Okay, so she's moving temporarily.
Joni:What are they doing to her current area? Yeah, because the,
Nick:say'cause the,
Joni:the sea, the, she's got like a seascape where she's standing on the, at the castle balcony mm-hmm. Or whatnot, or courtyard or something. Of Prince Eric's. So,
Nick:yeah, it
Joni:I just wondered if they were giving her a new backdrop
Nick:and a permit has been filed for Mama Mels rose transformation into Monsters Inc. Restaurant.
Joni:Oh.
Nick:Yeah, imagineers are starting to work on that.
Joni:I am excited to see what kind of foods they come up with being a monster restaurant. Imagine
Nick:cookies
Joni:Oh yeah, that's gonna be fun. Yeah. Huh. Cool.
Nick:And this was just announced, tobacca will appear in his traditional Life day costume for a meet and greet during. Hollywood Knights this year. For those of you that don't know, life Day is a Wooki holiday, celebrated on the planet Keshe, and it honors family joy and harmony. The Crimson Red Robe worn by Chewbacca is a ceremonial garment worn by the Wooki for Life Day. So I saw a picture, he's like in a big, like, you know, a red robe? Looks like a Red Jedi.
Joni:Jedi. Yeah,
Nick:That's what he looks
Joni:So what day is that one?
Nick:in Jolly Knights.
Joni:Oh, it's on all Jolly Knights. Yeah, he's meeting. Oh well I wanna meet Chewy.
Nick:Look
Joni:I haven't met him yet.
Nick:yeah. We've never met Chewy, have
Joni:we've seen him at a distance, but you know.
Nick:That's gonna be a, yeah, we,
Joni:run in the parks, so
Nick:we gotta meet Chewy. Last year, remember my big thing was I was gonna buy the, the Chewbacca shirt. Yes. And meet him. Yes. And we never did. I never bought the shirt. We never met
Joni:Well, that's why you need to buy the shirt.
Nick:if I, yeah, if I would've had the shirt, I would've made a point of it. All right. Now Animal Kingdom Goofy has a new meet and greet location over there. Okay. Guests can now find goofy in front of the backstage gate in the Africa section. This is right next to Haram Bay's market. So that's where Goofy is. Speaking of, Harambe Market has now closed for the months long update. They're gonna return with burgers and chicken strips and
Joni:The typical food
Nick:I like. I love me. So Harambe Market and Chilo Bites and Dina Bite snacks are now permanently closed as well. We talked about that. The former Doug and Russell meet and greet at Animal Kingdom has closed to become Nick and Judy Meet and greet as construction continues on. Zootopia better together. Okay, so Nick and Judy are gonna meet there. That
Joni:well that makes sense.
Nick:Doug and Russell are now meeting guests on the Discovery Island trails on the opposite side of the T of life.
Joni:Well, that makes sense being Discovery Island. Yeah. So, yeah, I think it's okay.
Nick:perfect sense.
Joni:Hey, they're adding not taken away, so we're good
Nick:adding Absolutely. That's a good way to think of it, you know? Yeah.
Joni:Yeah.
Nick:Disneyland's never complete.
Joni:We get two more, uh, we get two more characters involved in this.
Nick:Yep.
Joni:Okay.
Nick:That's it for Park News. We have some miscellaneous news,
Joni:right.
Nick:for America's 250th anniversary. Next year, Disney will host a special fireworks broadcast on major networks and streaming platforms. So they're gonna televise, the fireworks one night
Joni:and
Nick:and while did
Joni:say 250? 250. Wow.
Nick:Yeah. Seems like yesterday it was just a baby.
Joni:Oh my word.
Nick:And Walt Disney World and Disney Lamb Resorts will both have three nights of July 4th fireworks in 2026, which is an expansion for the celebration. And in celebration of America's birthday, their debuting Soren across America in the summer of 2026 at Disney World and Disney California Adventure. That would be cool. In the latest aerial photos of the Disney Lake Shore Lodge, which is the newest, DVC resort that's under construction. Have confirmed it will have a lazy river. I saw this photo and it's, it just looks like, a horseshoe. You can definitely tell it's a lazy river. So, so
Joni:so it's not a, a full circle?
Nick:Not what I saw. It was horseshoe shaped. Maybe they're gonna put pools at the end of'em, I don't know. Could be.
Joni:Okay. Okay.
Nick:this is exciting. I was excited when I heard this mul. So this was put on by, I think an Instagram user, somewhere, multiple sightings of drones testing at Disney Ranch in California.
Joni:Mm-hmm.
Nick:So they're just testing drones in the sky there. Some of the examples that was shown included, the Mickey Soer hat, the Manta ray in the style of Moana and Captain Hook's pirate ship. Oh, nice. So they're testing drones. Yeah. For what? I have no idea.
Joni:Well, like the Disney Spring show.
Nick:Yeah. So they're gonna do something with drones. I just don't think they're and doubt they're just waste of money to test drones. Yeah. Because
Joni:that Disney Spring show is pretty awesome.
Nick:That was pretty cool. Yeah.
Joni:But the only thing I didn't like about that was that you have to get there early to get a good spot. Yeah. And yeah, in order to get the people in, the cast members ask you to remain standing, you're literally standing in the same spot. People were. Trying to sit on the ground just to get, but I understand you can't get as many people and it gets more congested. It was
Nick:a lot of standing
Joni:have to stand in one spot for two, two and a half hours is like, that's so torturous on the lower limbs in the back. And yeah,
Nick:it was a good show, but yeah, I agree. It was,
Joni:I've almost, um, I don't know if it's allowed or not, but I wanted to purchase one of those pop-up. Little,
Nick:bend or, uh, seats?
Joni:little seats.
Nick:Papa squat. Yep.
Joni:Yep. I'm not even kidding because if you guys remember from a previous episode, it was that trip that we had to go to, Walmart and get me stuff for my knee
Nick:to take a medical trip.
Joni:oh my goodness. I had to get a knee brace and I got the tape and I got the roll on.
Nick:let's just get you a scooter.
Joni:no, I'm not, I, I'm not to the point to where I need that. I'm gonna let somebody else that needs it
Nick:just go in pain and get a knee brace when you could run a scooter.
Joni:you just get to rub my leg afterwards.
Nick:So
Joni:Sos a win-win.
Nick:That is all I have for Park
Joni:Oh yeah.
Nick:week. Yeah. I'm pretty excited about the drone. Hopefully they bring back a drone show.
Joni:Yeah.
Nick:Yeah, that was, that was a lot of fun.
Joni:Yep. Okay. Okay,
Nick:so let's move on to, I'm excited about this spotlight on attraction this week. What you got
Joni:got? We're over at Adventure Land. I've got Jungle Cruise
Nick:Jungle Crews. The, yeah, the jokesters. Yeah.
Joni:So it's a slow outdoor water ride. Aboard a, you chart a course for high adventure. On a scenic and comedic boat, tour of exotic rivers across Asia, Africa, and South America, guided by a witty and experienced skipper. So there's no height requirement, but children under the edge of seven must be accompanied by someone 14 years or older. They have 15 boats with a maximum of nine in operation at any given time, and each boat holds 30 people.
Nick:Okay,
Joni:so.
Nick:30 people. Really? It doesn't seem like that when you're on it. That's 30
Joni:Yeah. Well, well, you know, give or take
Nick:Well, yeah, but still, right? Yeah.
Joni:So, it has bench seating around the perimeter and some seating in the middle. There's no seat belts or restraints, but is equipped with handrails to assist in boarding and disembarking the slow moving boats as there is a small step down. So as far as these boats, I actually have their names. I'm not gonna go with like, there's Amazon Annie and Congo Connie, but some of these names I cannot pronounce. But we've got Annie and Bertha, Connie Gerie, Irma, Millie, Nelly, Ida, Ruby, Sadie, Sal, lolly, Val, Wanda, and Zelda, which. Zelda. Yeah, that's surprising. The grandsons would love that one. So if, now that I know there's a Zelda there, we're gonna try and get Zelda and then we have a retired boat. Congo Kate retired in 2000. Okay.
Nick:Okay,
Joni:So this ride is a tier one multipass. You can remain in your wheelchair or your electric scooter if you need to just at the front. Ask the cast member, because there are selected number of boats, not every boat can accommodate, um, wheelchair or scooter. Sign language is available as well as assisted listening and handheld captioning devices. The duration of the ride is about 10 minutes. It's an opening day attraction October 1st, 1971, and a little bit of bonus info. Jungle Cruise is set as a depression era, British outpost on the Amazon River, operated by a fictional company, the Jungle N Vacation Company. Film Adaptations of the Ride was released in the US on July 30th, 2021. Steamer vehicle engineer Harper Goff drew inspiration from a 1955 documentary called The African Lion from the True Life Adventure Series, as well as the 1951 Adventure film, the African Queen. The landscaping engineer, bill Evans had a limited budget to create a jungle atmosphere, so he imported some exotic plants but didn't have enough to fill the entire land with that. So he uprooted local orange trees and replanted them upside down growing vines on their exposed roots. The approximately five feet deep waterway is color controlled to conceal the boat's guidance system and mechanized platforms of some of the audio animatronics, like when the hippos and whatnot are taking baths. Yeah. So, they have to raise it enough to where they're not exposed. Okay. They started out, from what I read, I didn't put this in the notes, but they started out with a brown color and then it went to like a blue color and now it's the color that it is. So they kind of. Messed around with their coloring a little bit, but it did start out as brown and that just sounds kind of gross. So animator Mark Davis added the Indian elephant bathing pool and the rhinoceros chasing the explorers up the pole and near the hippo pole. The back half piece of the downed airplane of the Lockheed Model 12 Electra Junior previously found at the great movie Ride. From Hollywood Studios in the Casablanca scene. So that is actually okay. Placed in this ride now. So now you will have to keep an eye out for that.
Nick:That's one of my favorite movies. Yeah.
Joni:for sure. And um, there's also a jungle themed restaurant called Skipper Canteen that opened in December, 2015. Yeah. So we have actually not eaten there. We did have
Nick:We had a Yeah. All
Joni:and canceled to let somebody else have it'cause we weren't gonna make it. But,. Hear. It's not hard to get in there though.
Nick:No, I think we booked it with pretty short, uh, I mean, it definitely wasn't at 60 days for sure. I think we decided late.
Joni:Yeah, but I think I, I think I remembered somebody, a vlogger or somebody saying that, you know, there's still possibilities that if you just go up, they can get you
Nick:Yeah, right. Yeah.
Joni:Yeah. So you don't need an RSVP at all, but I mean, I would definitely make one. Yeah. Because you're kind of
Nick:but yeah, if you're like deciding last minute, hey, let's try it. You go up to the window, see if there's a spot. Yeah.
Joni:That's something we still need to do. We have a lot of stuff we still need to do. That's just a lot to get done. Yeah. In these parks.
Nick:for sure.
Joni:And then, you know, we always go to our. Our loves and do those
Nick:multiple,
Joni:times. Like when we rode Everest, like what, three times in a row?
Nick:It was a five minute wait. I mean, how could we not?
Joni:Yeah. Yeah. So that's what I have for the MO or for the, for the ride. Do you have anything to add?
Nick:The only thing I would add is, this is a extremely popular ride. The wait times are high. So if you're gonna want to do this, either a lightning lane it, or B, this is an adventure lane. So adventure lane is not available for early entry.
Joni:it's
Nick:only available for rope drop. And the thing about adventure land is there's two rope drops. There's one at the entrance by the hub. Mm-hmm. And then they have another rope in the back, by fantasy land. So there's two ropes. Yeah. So, um, if you wanna ride this,
Joni:I
Nick:I would lightning land or rope drop
Joni:Mm-hmm. So that's good information to add. I totally forgot about that. Yeah.
Nick:Yeah. And the only, the only other thing I would add is. If you've not been on this, the skippers are jokesters. They're, they're very pun heavy jokes and they are hilarious. Absolutely. Um, they're dad jokes, but you gotta get into it
Joni:No, it's fun. I enjoy it a
Nick:One of the funniest things our skippers said when we were with the the kids was, I remember we were going on, you know, the river and he's told everybody all serious. He said, be quiet for a minute. I gotta hear the radio.'cause we were leaving, you know. The dock, whatever you call it. So everybody got quiet and he said, okay. He goes, ladies and gentlemen, that was 15 seconds of silence, but since it says Disney World, that'll be$28 each. Oh yeah.
Joni:Oh yeah. Oh yeah. They are. They're very comical. And every time I've been on it, I've never heard the same jokes. No.
Nick:Your skipper makes the ride. Yeah. You know? Absolutely. So, I mean, it's
Joni:absolutely.
Nick:Yeah. All right. And
Joni:the queue is really neat. It's got a lot of, um, it's got a lot of, I mean, I can't even begin to, to talk about the things that they have, but it's got a lot of stuff in there to look at and definitely makes the time go by.
Nick:Yep. Just, get there early we or lightning lane for sure.
Joni:Yep. Okay.
Nick:All right, well thanks Joanie. Now we're on to this week's movie. Who do we got this week? I think I know movie.
Joni:This week we're gonna talk about Moana. Moana, Moana,
Nick:our granddaughters, one of her favorites. Her first
Joni:Love Moana. When we went, we actually got a video. We went in to meet Moana outside, not the one inside the, the hall, but animal Kingdom, the one in Animal Kingdom. And we walked up and, wanted our picture with her. I mean, it was. Kind of, I don't know, maybe I thought, gosh, is she gonna think we're silly? We're a couple of adults coming up, getting our picture. But, we expressed to her that, she was our granddaughter's favorite. And so Moana actually did a video greeting and addressed our granddaughter by name and it was so adorable, and we sent it, to her and she. Was playing it and our granddaughter was saying hello to her and waving to the phone. It was so adorable. She's three years old, so it was the cutest thing ever.
Nick:But yeah, if, that's actually a great tip.'cause I didn't know you could do that until the cast member told us, if you want to take a a video greeting of one of the characters, ask nicely. Ask politely, and they will most likely do it.
Joni:So, you know,'cause. Nick and I do quite a few trips without the Grands and um, you know, at first I felt bad about it, but now I don't
Nick:I know we can just take videos,
Joni:We, but you know, it is nice to know that you can have, you can have some videos of their, their favorite people call. My name
Nick:and calling'em by name is pretty, pretty special.
Joni:Yeah. Which brings me, this is just a side note, but I have to say, when we did have the kids. Stay with us. We were staying at Pop and we had, uh, Mickey Mouse call every morning for our wake
Nick:call. Yes, we
Joni:And Nick and I got up before the kids and got ourselves together. And then, um,
Nick:we'd do the
Joni:we let the Wi Mickey wake up call, right? And we had one of the kids answer the phone and we're like, oh, you better answer it. I bet it's for you. And so they'd pick it up. And so then we went to, topos for a breakfast on one of our off days, and Mickey Mouse came around to our table and um, our youngest grandson at the time says. Asked him, what did he say to him? Could
Nick:he? He said to Mickey, he said, when you call in the morning, can you not be so
Joni:loud? Because Mickey is like, oh boy, we're gonna have a great time today. It
Nick:wait to see you,
Joni:oh my goodness. It was so funny.
Nick:It's
Joni:adorable. Anyway, so Moana, let's get back to Moana. Moana came out,, November 23rd, 2016. It's a runtime of one hour, 47 minutes. A budget was a 150 million box office, 687.2 million. Again, the creators, Ron Clements and John Musker and Moana is not necessarily based on a single fairytale, but instead a story heavily inspired by Polynesian Myths and Legends. It draws from, oral traditions of various. Cynic Culturals to create its narrative with characters like the Demigod Maui being a figure from a widespread Polynesian mythology. So it's just kind of a all around made up. Her age is 16 in the movie. Her traits are naive, funny, and brave. As I had said, Polynesian mythology, so the nationality region slash region is Polynesian, south Pacific Islands. Her occupation is, she is a Chief des and demi goddess of the Village of Moi,
Nick:Nui,
Joni:and she is a Wayfinder.
Nick:Moana
Joni:is an animated film that follows a courageous Polynesian girl who sets sail on a daring ocean adventure to save her island. When the crops fail and fish disappear. Moana chosen by the ocean itself sets out to find the demigod Maui to restore the stolen heart of the goddess to piti. The film highlights themes of self-discovery, courage, and cultural identity. It focuses on Moana's growth as a leader, her deep connection to her ancestors and her determination to follow her inner voice despite fear and doubt. Her sidekicks are,
Nick:Hey, hey,
Joni:hey, hey. And uh, you know, the little chicken that can't stay on the boat and her little piggy pua. so I love it when Maui says, um, oh, you should have brought the pig. Now we have bacon and eggs. I like it when he says that. Her father is the chief, obviously, and her mom, I don't know if it's Sina or Sina. Then, in Moana two, we're not gonna get into that one because we're focusing on these first ones yet. But she does end up with a little sister in Moana two.
Nick:I've not seen Moana two, neither have I I knew she had a sister because she's on all the t-shirts at
Joni:Yeah. Well some people were, some people were speculating. Moana has a daughter. Nope. Guys, that's not her daughter. She has no spouse. She has no children. That is her little sister. Follow up movie. Like I said, Moana two came out in 2024. And we are expecting a live action remake of the 2016 film set to be released July 10th, 2026.
Nick:Really?
Joni:Yeah.
Nick:I did not know that. I
Joni:did not know that either until I researched the madness. There's lots and lots of award nominations, a total of 90. With 22 wins, I'm just gonna give several, noted here ones, which were two an these are the wins, two Annies, one Grammy, and it won both the Billboard music and the American Music Awards for their soundtracks. Oh, okay. A soundtrack. And on January 22nd and March 16th. Both of 2017, respectfully, the film reached the 500 million and the 600 million marks. Wow. Becoming the fourth consecutive Walt Disney Animation Studios film to reach both milestones
Nick:Wow.
Joni:behind Frozen and then, you know, a couple of others. But yeah. Crazy.
Nick:Wana was pretty big for them. Juano was very popular.
Joni:Mm-hmm. That's what I got. Okay.
Nick:All right. Thank you Joni.
Joni:Yeah, you bet. Anytime
Nick:So this week's tip or trick, I'm gonna, I'm gonna just say it right off the bat. I was not a believer. Joni came to me and said, I'm buying these things. I'm like, in my mind I said, okay, do what you want. I said this to myself. Do what you want, but it's a waste of money. Do what you want. I have been completely flipped. I am a true believer in
Joni:been transformed.
Nick:Yes, I have saw the light. What am I talking about?
Joni:I know what you're talking about. Hacking cube, hacking cubes, packing
Nick:cubes are simplify
Joni:your life. Huge.
Nick:I literally was like, why is she buying these? Because she told me and I looked them up and I'm like, this makes no sense. Yeah, well you can just throw everything in the suitcase.
Joni:You don't lose your stuff in the suitcase. You're not digging around. You can pull out specific Right. Things that you need.
Nick:what you need. You can organize in the cubes. And I would recommend this wherever you travel, if you're gonna take a suitcase. Yeah. They make life so much easier.
Joni:We've got all of our shoes in one cube. Well'cause we're leaving, so our suitcase is actually packed. Nick wanted to take a video of me packing our suitcase just for the show, and I was like, well, we're a little late for that. But our costumes and our pirate gear Yeah. Is all in a cube so we
Nick:Our swim stuff is in one cube. Our, undergarments are in one cubes. It just, it makes it so much easier if you just pull it out. And all your stuff is there. Yeah. And it does make more room in the suitcase. I know you, I know you don't think that, but it really does
Joni:Well, and then things don't get shifted around and unfolded and, you know, you end up with shoes on top of your head. And
Nick:you know what I'm gonna do? I'm going to, I'm gonna post a link to the packing cubes we have Okay. On our, on our show notes. Yeah.
Joni:And they have a variety of colors. We just ended up with the cream ones just'cause I thought they were kind of universal. I thought about getting me pink and Nick blue.
Nick:I didn't know that you could have.
Joni:you can. They do. Well, I didn't know that you would like them so Well. I actually even bought some and gave them away as gifts
Nick:that's right. You did.
Joni:I bought
Nick:um, and I think he made believers out of other people. Yeah.
Joni:Well, because our kids go out of town quite often and so I got them some.
Nick:Yeah. Yeah, I highly suggest this just from, it makes less mess. Yeah. And it just, it makes everything organized and it makes everything fit. So yeah. Packing cubes. I will post, the link to the one we have Good. In the show notes. All right. I think that's it. Oh, I did forget to mention, I did change the, uh, Facebook group name. Oh.
